Floating Roof Drainage System
Rainwater & Snowmelt DrainageFlexible steel hose connects the floating roof sump to the drain outlet at the tank bottom, removing rainwater and snowmelt collected on the roof. As the roof rises and falls, the hose bends and moves along a predefined path.

Planned Space for Hose Movement
Hose routing is planned according to tank dimensions, floating roof travel, and the arrangement of internal equipment. Movement limiters help keep the hose on its intended path, reducing the risk of interference with other equipment inside the tank.

Continuous Hose, Fewer Moving Joints
A continuous hose runs from the floating roof sump to the drain outlet at the tank bottom, without intermediate moving joints or swivel connections. This helps reduce joint fatigue and leakage risks, limiting product loss and the impact of subsequent inspection and repair work.
Firefighting Foam Delivery System
Floating Roof Tank Fire ProtectionFlexible steel hose connects the external foam piping to the manifold on the floating roof. It conveys firefighting foam or foam solution to the roof seal area as part of the floating roof tank fire protection system.

Manifold Distribution to the Seal Area
Firefighting foam or foam solution passes through the flexible steel hose to the manifold on the floating roof. Branch lines then extend toward the tank wall to distribute foam to the roof seal area.

Direct Delivery During Roof Movement
The hose maintains its intended bending profile as the floating roof rises and falls. Delivering foam directly to the seal area helps reduce the effects of weather and rising air currents caused by fire on foam delivery.
