DRESDEN PIPELINE
Dresden Pipeline Flexible Steel Hose
Dresden Pipeline flexible steel hose is an important component of petroleum and chemical storage tank systems. Its primary applications include rainwater and snowmelt drainage, as well as firefighting foam delivery.
Designed using specialized computer software and produced with precision manufacturing equipment, the hose maintains a predefined movement path throughout operation. Compared with conventional metal, rubber, and composite piping, flexible steel hose offers greater strength, a longer service life, and a broader range of applications.
For more than 20 years, flexible steel hoses have been used in floating roof tank drainage and foam fire suppression systems. Their distinctive advantages have supported widespread adoption and a strong record of service in the petroleum and chemical industries worldwide. They remain an important component of storage tank drainage and firefighting foam delivery systems.
Product Features
Dresden PipelineConfigured for Tank Dimensions and Rainfall
Piping layouts can be planned according to the customer's tank dimensions and rainfall requirements. Installation and ongoing maintenance needs are also considered to ensure that the product configuration suits actual site conditions.
Continuous Hose Construction
A continuous, one-piece hose body eliminates intermediate joints and swivel connections, reducing the number of moving connections in the system.
Predefined Movement Path
Follows a predefined path as the floating roof rises and falls, reducing the risk of interference with other equipment inside the tank and associated damage.
No Additional Counterweights
Requires no additional counterweights or connectors, keeping the piping configuration simple.
Aromatic Hydrocarbon Resistance
The hose body is resistant to chemical attack from 100% aromatic hydrocarbons.
Self-Support & Pressure Resistance
The hose body provides structural support and resistance to external pressure, maintaining its shape to help prevent collapse and deformation.
Stability Under Tank Flow
Resists swirling flow generated by tank mixers, helping maintain hose stability under operating conditions inside the tank.
Specifications & Connections
| Connection Design | Special patented crimped sealing connections with full-flow end fittings. |
|---|---|
| Standard Flange Configuration | ASME B16.5 Class 150 / ASTM A105 Alternative configurations can be selected to meet specific customer requirements. |
Hose Structure & Materials
Dresden Pipeline
Two-Layer Hose
SUS304 Stainless Steel Framework
Formed from wound SUS304 stainless steel strip, this layer provides flexibility and ring stiffness, supporting the hose body and resisting external pressure.
PA11 / PA12 Protective Sealing Layer
Extruded over the framework, this thermoplastic layer provides protection, pressure containment, sealing, and corrosion resistance. It separates the stored liquid from the medium conveyed inside the hose.

Three-Layer Hose
Smooth-Bore Inner Tube
Manufactured from plastic material by thermoplastic extrusion, the sealed inner tube has a smooth bore for conveying rainwater, snowmelt, and firefighting foam.
SUS304 Stainless Steel Framework
Formed from wound SUS304 stainless steel strip, this layer provides flexibility, ring stiffness, and structural support, maintaining the hose body's resistance to external pressure.
PA11 / PA12 Protective Sealing Layer
Extruded over the framework, this thermoplastic layer provides protection, pressure containment, sealing, and corrosion resistance. It separates the stored liquid from the medium conveyed inside the hose.
Movement Trajectory Test
Flexible Steel HosePhotos record the hose profile at different positions during testing to show the movement path of the flexible steel hose.
